The lawnmower was due an oil change so I put the oil extractor to use. This great gadget siphons out the used oil with no mess. Also great for use with cars. To use I just ran the engine for a few minutes to warm it up and ensure the oil will run freely. Then switch off, remove the oil dipstick cap and drop in the siphon tube. A few pumps and the oil starts to flow into the container. At the very end I moved the tube around to siphon up every last drop. Then check the manual for the correct quantity of oil.I marked a container and poured open the correct amount, then into the engine. A used milk container makes a great vessel to ensure none is spilt. Then just dispose of the oil at the household recycling centre and Job Done.
